Ocean Isle Beach, NC – While you are enjoying Oyster Fest in Ocean Isle Beach, why not stop by the Museum of Coastal Carolina on October 20. The museum will be open on October 20 from 10:00 to 5:00. A special $5 admission that day will get you into the museum to explore the exhibits, view the current art exhibit in the Coastal Gallery by Shallotte artist Martha Murphy, learn about snakes “up close and person” with Snakes Alive!, and interact with a model train layout sponsored by the Intracoastal Model Railroad Club.
The Intracoastal Model Railroad Club is a non-profit group of collectors and enthusiasts of model trains across Brunswick County. The club’s mission is to educate the public about toy trains and model railroading as well as full-size railroads and railroad safety in general. The October 20 train layout at the Museum of Coastal Carolina is an interactive exhibit that includes toy train operating accessories that children and adults can operate.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission to the museum is free for members.
