Ocean Isle Beach, NC – The Ocean Isle Museum Foundation announced that its 2020 Wine Fest fundraiser will be held on April 25, 2020. This annual event includes an Amateur Wine Competition conducted in cooperation with the Ocean Isle Beach chapter of the American Wine Society (AWS) and Silver Coast Winery. Wines are judged in
various award categories by an expert panel of AWS judges. Gold, silver, and bronze medal winners will be announced at Wine Fest on April 25, 2020.
The Amateur Wine Competition is open to any amateur home wine maker. An amateur wine maker is one who makes wine alone or in collaboration with other amateur wine makers and is not directly involved with commercial wine making. Entry fees are $20 each for the first two bottles of wine submitted and $15 each for additional bottles. The deadline for submitting wine is March 16, 2020. This is a great opportunity for amateur
wine makers to compete for medals, gain recognition for their wine making skills, and get valuable feedback from expert judges.
