Shallotte, NC – ATMC recently announced that the ACC Network will soon be available to ATMC cable subscribers. The official launch of the new network is scheduled for Thursday, August 22nd, and the first official game will be aired the following Thursday, August 29th at 8 p.m., with Georgia Tech at Clemson, marking the inaugural football game aired on
the new network.
The network, which features coverage of intercollegiate sports from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), will broadcast approximately 450 live contests including 40 regular-season football games, 150 men’s and women’s basketball games, as well as 200 other regular-season competitions and tournament games. In addition to the live game coverage, the ACC Network will include news and information shows, as well as original programming related to ACC sports. Following the opening game on August 29th, the ACC Network will air Wake Forest against Utah State at 8 p.m., on Friday, August 30th, while Saturday’s slate includes NC State’s home opener versus East Carolina at noon. Conference openers during Week 1 include Virginia Tech playing at Boston College, and defending ACC Coastal Division champion Pitt hosting Virginia.
“Because of the constantly rising costs of cable TV programming content, the addition of any new channel is weighed with a great deal of consideration and scrutiny,” commented Jody Heustess, Vice President of Marketing & Customer Care. “However, given the extreme popularity of ACC member schools in our area and the high number of requests we’ve received for this new channel, we are moving forward with including the ACC Network in our cable TV lineup.”
The ACC Network will be available to ATMC cable subscribers, Standard Package and above, on channel 24 and in HD on channel 994. To learn more about ATMC’s cable packages and channel lineups, visit atmc.com/cable or call 910-754-4311.
