Shallotte, NC – Two ATMC employees recently received national recognition at the NTCA’s RTIME Conference in New Orleans, LA. Amanda Floyd, Director of Marketing, received the NTCA’s Outstanding Marketing Achievement Award and Scott Dutton, Director of Outside Plant Engineering, received the NTCA’s Management Innovation Award.
Amanda Floyd was recognized for her role in promoting ATMC’s five year expansion and upgrade project, developing the company’s social media presence, introducing various new products, increasing local coverage of community events through ATMC’s local channel ATMC-TV, and helping ATMC receive the Smart Rural Community designation. “Because of Amanda’s smarts and diligence, ATMC is better prepared to succeed in the modern and evolving telecommunications industry,” said Shirley Bloomfield, CEO of NTCA.
Scott Dutton received the NTCA’s Management Innovation Award for his work through the years on ATMC’s ‘Fiber-to-the-Home’, cable TV network upgrade, and network expansion projects. Scott and his team have helped multiply ATMC’s fiber optic services which are now available to over 30,000 residential and business customers. Scott helped ATMC in securing grant funds for broadband expansion in rural Columbus County and he was also recognized for his role in improving broadband services for tens of thousands of residents in Brunswick and Columbus counties. “Scott is truly invested in the community in which he lives, his depth of knowledge and education enrich the company for which he has worked for nearly two decades,” commented Bloomfield.
“We are incredibly proud of Amanda and Scott for receiving these Excellence Awards from the NTCA,” said Douglas Hawes, ATMC Board of Directors President. “To have one of our team members receive an award would be an accomplishment, but to have two team members be honored in the same year is a testament to the level of skill and drive we have at ATMC.”
