SUPPLY, N.C. (September 4, 2019) Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation will close all district offices in Whiteville, Southport-Oak Island and Supply on Thursday, September 5. Walk-in and drive-through traffic will be suspended, but Bill Payment Terminals will be functional unless power is interrupted. BEMC employees will focus all efforts on member calls and putting its resources into restoring power that is potentially lost due to Hurricane Dorian’s impact.
Please note that the cooperative does not cut power in advance of, during, or after a storm. Misinformation is circulating, but the fact is that BEMC does not cut power to its membership. Please be advised that the cooperative is fully prepared to respond to Hurricane Dorian, and restore power that is lost due to its impact as quickly as possible.
