Ocean Isle Beach, NC – Budding Scientists – Cool Chemistry program, a monthly educational program that teaches about exciting new developments in various scientific fields, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 29, at the Museum of Coastal Carolina.
This month Ingram Planetarium Manager Katherine Hunt will actively involve kids in stimulating and colorful hands-on chemistry experiments. Katherine has spent several years educating the public and has had a passion for all things science all her life. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Coastal Carolina University with a research concentration in scientific literacy.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach. Admission is free for members, active duty military and disabled veterans plus one guest (must include military ID cardholder). Non-member all-day admission is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, $7.50 for children (3-12), and free for ages 2 and under. Visitors who attend both facilities in the same week are eligible for a $2 off per ticket at the second facility.
