Southport, NC – City of Southport plans to unveil their new public information campaign on Friday, September 13, 10 a.m. in the newly renovated Southport Indian Trail Meeting Hall. The hall is located at 113 W. Moore St. (former Southport Police Headquarters). The public is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
The City will be introducing Randy Jones as Southport’s Public Information Officer and Lisa Anderson as the newly created position of Information Specialist.
Two new Facebook pages have recently been launched; an official City of Southport page, https://www.facebook.com/cityofsouthportnc/, to be used to promote the town and keep viewers informed of Southport happenings, and the Southport NC Emergency Information Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/SouthportNCemergency, for information and updates before, during, and after an emergency event. Additional social media platforms are being planned for the near future.
In addition, the City of Southport’s website, https://southportnc.org/emergency-information/ has a new Emergency Information page to keep its citizens informed and as safe as possible. Learn how these resources will help you be prepared and keep you informed in the event of an emergency. No RSVP is necessary.
