Ocean Isle Beach, NC – On August 27 at 6:00 pm the Museum of Coastal Carolina will show a movie called Honor Flight. Dan Hayes’ heartwarming documentary tells the story of a group of dedicated volunteers in Wisconsin who make it their mission to send World War II veterans from their community on a trip to Washington, DC to view the war memorial constructed in 2005. The trips are called “Honor Flights” because, for many of these aging veterans, it will be the last trip they ever take.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission to the museum is free for members. Non-member all-day admission is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, $7.50 for children (3-12), and free for age 2 and under. Admission is free for active duty military and disabled veterans plus one guest; must include military ID cardholder. For more information, call 910-579-1016 or visit www.MuseumPlanetarium.org.
