What is the Purpose of Membership Levels?
Chambers of Commerce have long been utilizing a Fair Share Dues structure for their members. This meant that you paid a membership amount based on the number of employees you had instead of the types of benefits that you needed/wanted.
Our new dues structure offers businesses a CHOICE. Our base or Professional level provides an affordable option with a multitude of advantages that every business can benefit from. Three other levels offer increased marketing, resources, networking and engagement options. In addition, some benefits are offered as an A La Carte option, making those more popular benefits something every business can have access to even if they do not choose to join at a higher level.
How Many Membership Levels are Available?
There are four Membership Levels – for details on each level click on the Title:
- Professional (Base Level) – Providing your business with benefits to start your story of success. With the power of the Chamber behind your business along with exclusive access to a variety of services from marketing, networking, sponsorship, multiple membership listings, referrals, advocacy, business credibility and so much more. For about 80 cents a day, your return on investment is immeasurable. All subsequent levels include the Professional Level Benefits.
- Executive Level – Even more opportunities to accelerate your advertising and increase brand exposure. Enjoy more marketing that promotes your business through multiple media platforms
and builds your portfolio. This expanded visibility will give you greater return on your investment and keep your organization front and center in the community.
- Leader Level – Includes added value to reach a wider audience and show your commitment to building a stronger economy. With Increased brand promotion, resources and expanded access to engage with your customers, peers and partners, you will set yourself apart from the pack.
- Partner Level – Is a platform to showcase your contribution to the growth and success of our community. Through access to exclusive marketing opportunities and resources, your business becomes not only a Chamber Partner, but a leader in and around Brunswick County. Your
investment is the connection to accelerate community and economic growth.
When is the New Benefit Dues Structure Starting?
The new dues structure has been in place since July 2018 and implemented to new Chamber Members. Roll-out of the new dues structure for current membership is slated for October 1st, 2018.
Current members will receive a summary of the changes and a worksheet that presents them with the benefit level they will be moved into.
Can I Add Benefits Without Leveling Up?
Yes! We understand that the needs of each business is different. You shouldn’t have to move up a level when all you need is one or two other benefits.

Can I Change My Level Before My Renewal Date?
Members can move up to any level at any time, but cannot move down a level. If a member moves up, the dues will be pro-rated to reflect the new benefit structure for the remainder of that membership year.
Members that wish to move down a level will need to wait until their renewal date and must inform the Chamber in writing of the change request.
I'm a Current Member - How Is My Level Decided?
Current members will be moved into the level that closely matches the dues and benefits that they are already receiving. Members who wish to change their level should contact the Chamber prior to their renewal date. Members wishing to move down from their current level will need to submit the request in writing to the Chamber.
My Membership Isn't Up For Renewal, What are My Current Benefits?
All Current Members will receive notification of the membership level they will be put into upon their next renewal date. Until the time of renewal, members will be provided with the benefits in the Professional Level.
Members may adopt their level early by contacting the Chamber.
Do You Have a Level for Non-Profits?
Our Professional Level is available for Non-Profits at a discounted rate. Non-Profits that wish to level up, must pay the full price of that level. To qualify as a non-profit, the organization must provide confirmation of 501 (c) 3 status.
Can I Pay My Dues Online?
Yes! Members can pay their dues online through our website portal. If you do not have a login to our website, please contact the Chamber.
