Ocean Isle Beach, NC – Every Tuesday at 6:00 pm, join us at the Museum of Coastal Carolina as we kick off the summer with our Sand Bar Lecture Series! Starting with A Civil Affair: An Historical Fiction by Kimberly Belfer, May 28th, and ending with a showing of the movie, Honor Flight, on August 27th. Many of our lectures are intriguing and rich with information you’ll find yourself wanting to be become a member so you can sit through everyone.
Make a day out of your Tuesday with us at the Museum of Coastal Carolina, start off with a showing of “The Lorax Original Short Film” that beings at 11:00 am. Grab lunch by the beach or hang out at the Town of OIB park, or catch a show at our sister facility, Ingram Planetarium, where you can get $2 off by showing your museum receipt. Join us again at 3:30 pm on Tuesday for our program, Reef Explorer featuring Gyotaku Fish Printing, a hands-on craft activity GREAT for children. After touring our facility, come sit back, relax, and enjoy one of our Sand Bar lectures featuring renown speakers from all across NC and sometimes beyond.

The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission to the museum is free for members, active duty military and disabled veterans and may bring up to one free guest. (Must show valid military ID). Non-member all-day admission is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, $7.50 for children (3-12), and free for age 2 and under.
