Shallotte, N.C. – Douglas H. Hawes, Board President for ATMC, has announced that Julia Fort Tripp has been
elected to serve on the ATMC Board of Directors. Mrs. Tripp was elected to represent District 2 (Calabash,
Longwood, Carolina Shores), replacing Randy Hardee who served on the ATMC Board since 2013.
A longtime resident of Brunswick County, Mrs. Tripp completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the
University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of
Science in Accounting. Mrs. Tripp owns and operates Tripp’s Trucking, LLC. She also has a background in
telecommunications accounting and auditing, governmental auditing and human resources management.
Mrs. Tripp commented that she looks forward to representing District 2 on ATMC’s Board of Directors. She added, “ATMC has always been a pillar of our local community, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors and to help lead a cooperative that prides itself on customer service excellence, innovation, and community support.”
Mr. Hawes added, “We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Tripp to the Board of Directors at ATMC. Her education,
background, and strong ties to the community will make her a great asset to the cooperative. We look forward to working with her.”
Mrs. Tripp and her husband, Dave, reside in Ash with their two sons Eli and Ean. She serves as Church Clerk and
Assistant Treasurer at Friendship Baptist Church in Ash.
