Ocean Isle Beach, NC – The Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a grant of $1,000 by Altria Client Services, LLC. The grant money received was applied to our new summer exhibit, “Draw Alive”, a fun and exciting exhibit. This new exhibit is directed toward children but will engage families as a whole with the ultimate goal of teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education. Children have the chance to create a special design on one of our sea animal coloring sheets, scan in their sea animal and watch their own sea creature come to life in our virtual aquarium! With this exhibit we are able to utilize its multiple different functions to tailor “Draw Alive” software for future programs so we have the ability to continue to grow our programs in new and exciting ways!
We are very appreciative of Altria Client Services for seeing the benefits in investing in our museum. With our growth, we will continue to draw in patrons, a benefit to all of our businesses in the community.
OIMF welcomes other corporations to join us in our endeavor to educate our community. If interested in becoming a corporate sponsor, please contact Terry Bryant at (910) 579-1016.
