Ocean Isle Beach, NC – The Museum of Coastal Carolina is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from now until December 28. The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day.
On September 21 at 11:00, kids can explore the world of coding and programming with Tom and Maria Knapik in a program called “Fun with Dot and Dash.” Dot and Dash are robots that respond to voice, navigating objects, dancing, and singing. This interactive program will entertain kids as it educates them. It utilizes the apps Wonder, Go, and Path.
On September 28 at 11:00, museum volunteer Lia Loucas hosts a program called “Budding Scientists: Amazing Animals.” In this program for kids she will focus on the lives of animals that are native to our coastal area.
Visitors to the museum will want to check out the new art exhibit called “Timeless Moments” in the museum’s Coastal Gallery. This exhibit features original art and prints by V. Ryan (“Bunny”) Lauzon. Some of the original paintings are available for sale.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission to the museum is free for members. Admission is free for active duty military and disabled veterans plus up to one guest (must include military ID card holder). Non-member all-day admission is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors (62+),
