There are a couple great opportunities this week to get more involved and make meaningful connections within our Chamber community.
On April 7, we’ll start the day with our Ambassador Meeting from 8:30–9:30 AM, a great way to stay engaged, build relationships, and play a role in welcoming and supporting fellow members across Brunswick County.
Later that afternoon, join us for Women in Business from 3:00–4:00 PM, where conversations are real, connections come naturally, and everyone is welcome. It’s a supportive space to share experiences, meet other women in business, and be part of a growing community.

Chairman Awards 2026
Join us for the 2026 Chairman Awards on May 14 from 6:00–9:00 PM at Silver Coast Winery for an evening dedicated to celebrating the businesses and leaders who make Brunswick County thrive.
This year’s theme is Boots, Vines & Good Times, so come ready to enjoy a fun night with great food, music, and dancing with DJ Butch Barnes. Guests are encouraged to dress in boots, denim, and their favorite southern style.
Each year, the Chamber recognizes outstanding businesses and community leaders, along with our FUTURE 10 honorees featured through South Brunswick Magazine.

Business After Hours
Looking for a relaxed way to connect with fellow Chamber members? Business After Hours takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 5:00–6:30 PM and offers a casual setting to build relationships and share referrals in a fun, laid-back environment.
This event is open to Chamber members at the $595 membership level and above and is typically hosted at a member business. Businesses may host at their location or partner with another venue to create a welcoming space for networking.
Hosts are welcome to provide light snacks or beverages, though it is not required. The focus is simply on bringing members together to connect, strengthen relationships, and support one another’s businesses.

Women In Business Spotlight
This month’s Women in Business Spotlight features Kandace Hill, owner of Flamingo Foto Booths.
Kandace believes every celebration deserves a splash of fun and a touch of unforgettable. Through Flamingo Foto Booths, she helps turn weddings, birthdays, and corporate events into memorable experiences filled with laughter and lasting moments. With interactive features, premium props, and instant keepsakes, guests leave with more than a photo. They leave with memories.
Based in Brunswick County, Kandace brings Flamingo flair to events across the area with a strong focus on attention to detail and creating experiences guests will always remember.
Outside of business, Kandace enjoys reading, traveling with her husband Brian, and spending time as “GrandKandy” with her two granddaughters in Wilmington.

Ambassador Spotlight
This month’s Ambassador Spotlight shines on Melony Rice with Living Coastal Realty, Intracoastal Realty.
Melony has been part of the Brunswick County community since 2006 and brings a genuine passion for helping others to everything she does. Through her work in real estate and her role as a Chamber Ambassador, she is always focused on building connections and supporting the people and businesses that make this area so special.
We are grateful for her dedication, positivity, and the way she represents the Chamber in our community.
Membership Extravaganza
The Membership Extravaganza is returning to the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce on June 16, and we are excited to host another afternoon dedicated to celebrating and connecting with our members.
The event will take place from 12:00–3:00 PM at the Chamber office, located at 112 Pine Street in Shallotte. Ribbon cuttings will be held from 12:00–1:00 PM, followed by a Member Drop-In & Networking event from 1:00–3:00 PM.
