Leadership Brunswick County
Leadership Brunswick County is a collaborative program sponsored by the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce, North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, and Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Designed to develop informed, committed, and qualified leaders, the program equips participants with the knowledge, relationships, and experiences needed to provide dynamic leadership throughout Brunswick County.
Since 1996, Leadership Brunswick County has identified and cultivated emerging leaders while providing a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and changing social and economic landscape of our community. The program is designed to educate and inspire individuals who are committed to making a positive impact where they live and work.
Beginning each September and continuing through May, participants meet one full day each month at locations throughout Brunswick County. Sessions provide firsthand access to leaders in business, government, education, healthcare, public safety, environmental stewardship, and nonprofit organizations while exploring the issues shaping the future of our county.
Applicants should already demonstrate a sincere commitment to serving Brunswick County through community involvement. Participants should currently hold, be retired from, or have the potential to advance into management or leadership positions. Applicants must reside and/or work in Brunswick County and be willing to commit to a nine-month program that is both challenging and rewarding.
