We’ve got a big week ahead as we get ready for one of our favorite Chamber traditions!

The 5th Annual Brunsco Classic Golf Tournament is happening Friday, August 28, at Sea Trail Golf Resort in Sunset Beach. We’re looking forward to a full day on the newly renovated course with our local business community, along with raffles, exclusive giveaways, and plenty of friendly competition.

Leadership Brunswick County Applications Now Open

Are you ready to grow as a leader and make a lasting impact in Brunswick County?

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 Leadership Brunswick County program, presented by the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce, North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, and Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce.

Designed for emerging and established leaders, this nine-month program offers participants a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the people, organizations, and issues shaping Brunswick County. Monthly sessions explore topics including local government, education, economic development, public safety, health and human services, and more while building meaningful relationships with leaders from across our community.

Application Deadline: Monday, August 24, 2026, at 4:00 PM

Tuition: $450 for Chamber Members | $500 for Non-Members

Brunsco Classic Golf Tournament

The Brunsco Classic Golf Tournament is almost here, and we’re looking forward to another great day of golf, networking, and community support at Sea Trail Golf Resort on Friday, August 28, presented by Makai Brewing.

There are still several ways to get involved. We’re currently looking for volunteers to help throughout the day and are also accepting raffle prize donations for our popular Putting Challenge, sponsored by Edward Jones – Jeremy Johnson. Suggested donations include gift baskets, gift cards, golf accessories, experience packages, or other items valued at $75 or more.

Businesses that donate raffle prizes will be recognized for their support, and every contribution helps create a memorable tournament while supporting the Chamber and our local business community.

North Carolina Oyster Festival

Mark your calendars! The 45th Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival returns to Ocean Isle Beach, October 16–18, 2026, for another unforgettable weekend of live music, delicious food, shopping, family activities, and community fun. The weekend kicks off with Community Night on Friday, October 16, from 6:00–8:00 PM, featuring live music by The Sea Cruz Band.

As we prepare for one of Brunswick County’s largest annual events, there are several ways to get involved. We’re currently looking for volunteers to help throughout the festival, and businesses are invited to become Banner Sponsors, giving their brand high-visibility exposure to thousands of festival attendees while supporting this long-standing community tradition.
